We want you to have a blast checking out great stores and products-and while you're at it, have the chance to win fabulous prizes and indulge in exclusive discounts. That's why we've got two kinds of hops: Online and Brick and Mortar. Each has its own set of rules and perks, and both are lots of fun, so see below for details and happy hopping! 

What is an Online shop hop?

Online shop hops are designed so that even the busiest of crafters can participate without ever having to leave their home-or even their chair! There are 5 online shop hops hosted per year, each with a slew of great online stores and fantastic prizes. Each participating store hides a shop hop icon within their site, providing a clue on their home page. What is a Brick and Mortar shop hop? 

Brick and Mortar shop hops are organized around a group of stores that are within a 200-mile radius of one another. These hops take place over week to 2 week period. This gives you ample time to visit all of the participating stores, collecting stamps on your "Passport" and making yourself eligible to win one of several great prizes as you go.  

What happens during these Brick and Mortar shop hops?

Aside from socializing, shopping, gawking, and giggling, shop hops provide you with some much-needed time to ditch every day distractions and get creative. As you move, or "hop", from store to store you'll be invited to participate in various "Make and Takes." These projects can consist of making anything from page layouts to greeting cards to tags, depending on the hop, and you get to take your creation home with you. Also, each participating store you visit will stamp your passport, getting you one step closer to winning a prize.   

What is a Passport? 

Before your scheduled shop hop begins you'll need to purchase a Shop Hop Passport from one of the participating stores. Your Passport includes a detailed list of all the participating stores, their addresses and s hop hop hours, as well as a list of prizes and other important information (A list of participating stores can also be found at scrapbookingroads.com.)  You will need to bring your Passport with you throughout the hop, from store to store to obtain stamps for the stores that you visited.

How do I find out when and where the next hop is happening?

How do I sign up for a Brick and Mortar shop hop? 

You can sign up to participate in a Brick and Mortar shop hop by contacting one of the local participating stores approximately 8 weeks prior to the event. And then get your shoes, gather your friends and you'll be shop hopping in no time!
